Conservation
The Kansas Oil and Gas Resources Fund promotes energy conservation in all forms.
Growing demand mandates we not only obtain energy resources as efficiently as possible, but that we also conserve its use. Conservation is not limited to actions taken by large corporations, cities and governments – everyone can get involved. We have included the following helpful energy-saving tips that will add up to make a big difference.

- Michele Cross, 4th Grade Teacher>I think it is important for my students to see a lot of different careers. So they see someone from the oil industry come into the classroom and it just sort of sparks their interest in maybe something they might think about in the future. -
- Jim Stegeman, Petro Pro>What I enjoy most about the presentation is when I feel like I am talking directly to somebody that is interested and that has a chance of picking something up that will help them. If I feel like I am helping somebody, then I feel like I have done my job. -
- Erin Taylor, High School Freshman>When guest speakers come into the classroom it is different mainly because they give you a different perspective from what a teacher gives you. -
- David Schooler, 7th Grade Teacher>The materials provided, they really did help give the kids more to see. There were newer graphics that I was able to obtain at some of the workshops that just help supplement what I already have. -
- Brandi Biggs, Petro Pro>By being able to go into the classroom as a Petro Pro I am able to share things about the industry that most kids, and most parents, don not know today. And I am able to create some excitement and interest in a field and a subject that they probably did not have a lot of interest before.
