I think it is important for my students to see a lot of different careers. So they see someone from the oil industry come into the classroom and it just sort of sparks their interest in maybe something they might think about in the future.

What I enjoy most about the presentation is when I feel like I am talking directly to somebody that is interested and that has a chance of picking something up that will help them. If I feel like I am helping somebody, then I feel like I have done my job.

When guest speakers come into the classroom it is different mainly because they give you a different perspective from what a teacher gives you.

The materials provided, they really did help give the kids more to see. There were newer graphics that I was able to obtain at some of the workshops that just help supplement what I already have.

By being able to go into the classroom as a Petro Pro I am able to share things about the industry that most kids, and most parents, don not know today. And I am able to create some excitement and interest in a field and a subject that they probably did not have a lot of interest before.
