Over $375 million in taxes (up 75 million from 2005), helped fund schools and roads in Kansas in 2007, thanks to the oil and gas industry.

Ad valorem tax collections also increased nearly 191% from 1999 to 2006.  These funds are vital in supporting Kansas’ infrastructure and public works projects.
