We've developed a number of programs and tools to assist Kansas educators in communicating the truth about our industry. These are all provided free of charge to any educator completing a Kansas Strong Energy Education Workshop.
This hands-on, six-week curriculum makes it fun for students in grades kindergarten through second to learn basic concepts about well site safety, rock formations and the types of products made from petroleum.
Fossils to Fuel I
This hands-on, six-week elementary school curriculum helps students in grades third through sixth learn basic concepts about how energy is transformed from the sun to carbon-based matter to petroleum and, ultimately, into our homes and schools.
Fossils to Fuel II
This hands-on curriculum expands on many of the science and math concepts introduced in the original Fossils to Fuel program. The curriculum is designed for students in grades third through sixth.
Building upon the success of Fossils to Fuel, Petro Active teaches middle school students about the formation and recovery of oil and natural gas and includes classroom energy experiments. The curriculum is designed for students in grades sixth through ninth.
Students in grades ninth through 12 will participate in hands-on science, math, social studies and language arts activities that will open their minds to the exciting practical applications of the oil and natural gas industry.
